About Havelow
Where the name comes from
Havelow comes from two words: "haven" — a safe place to land — and "glow" — the moment something becomes visible. A small business's first real website is exactly that: a harbour where the people looking for you can finally find you, and a light that makes your work visible on the other side.
Why I do this
I've watched too many small business owners lose clients to competitors who had worse products but better websites. A bakery that makes the best sourdough in the city, losing orders to a chain that had a "order online" button. A photographer whose work was extraordinary but whose site looked like a free template from 2015. The website was the bottleneck. That's fixable. That's what I fix.
How I work
I work with a small number of clients at a time — never more than three active projects simultaneously. That's intentional. The sites I build for small businesses are their primary sales surface; they deserve proper attention, not a ticket number in a queue. I handle design, development, and launch. I don't subcontract. When you email me, I respond.
What I won't do
I won't build sites that look like everyone else's. I won't pad timelines or invent complications to justify a bigger invoice. I won't put "contact for a quote" on a page when a real starting-from price would serve you better. And I won't ship a site I'd be embarrassed to show you six months later.
Who I work with
Mostly small business owners across India, the US, and the UK. Bakeries, photographers, accountants, therapists, tradespeople, independent retailers — anyone whose business is real but whose online presence hasn't caught up yet. I work in English and can navigate the paperwork for both Indian and international client relationships.
